Summer Open Exhibition at The Powerhouse 


We are committed to promoting The Powerhouse as an Art Gallery. An opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, amateur and professional artists to exhibit their wor
We are organising a Summer exhibition in August 2015, inviting 100 artists to exhibit 2 pieces of their work.
·       Cost per item £5    / 10% commission on sales.
·       Each artist required to steward for half a day 10am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm
·       Maximum 2 items per artist.
·       D rings only no mirror plates- ready to hang.    Maximum size approx. 20ins x 16ins negotiable on request.
·       Each item to be labelled on back with name, contact details, medium, title and price and again on a detachable hanging label.
·       No-  (NFS) not for sale work.
·       Artist’s statement required by 27th June maximum approx. 100 words.(optional)

·       Please bring your work to The Powerhouse, Pont Tyweli, Llandysul SA44 4AH on Thursday the  23rd July between 10am – 5pm. Or other arrangements if you are not able to bring during these times. Please contact me.
·       Take down  Tuesday 1st September between 10am and 5pm or by arrangement.
·       Volunteers needed to help with marketing and promoting the exhibition please.
·       Artists encouraged to run workshops during the exhibition – artist to organise.

·       All work at owners risk and artists to arrange own insurance if needed. Our public liability insurance covers damage to public if our volunteers hang work.

·       Please send payment for each item before the 27th June by BACS details on request or cheque made out to Pwerdy/Powerhouse/cash. Please notify me of BACS payment.
Dates of the Summer Open are 3rd to the 29th August not on Sundays.

Thank you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday night at the opening of the Degree Show at Carmarthen School of Art at Coleg Sir Gar, your support was truly appreciated which made the evening a success, with lots of positive feedback. Congratulations to Martin Robert Reed for getting student of the year. Exhibition is back open on Wednesday at 9.30 and continues for two weeks. Also on Friday night was the Crickhowell Open Art Exhibition Private View, two of my pieces were exhibited alongside many other artists. Congratulations to Kay Leverton, Ellie Ling and Kate Evans who were announced as the prizewinning entries in this year's Crickhowell Open Art exhibition. Now I am supposed to take a rest, but preparing for exhibitions in London, Cardiff, Swansea and Carmarthen, exciting times ahead.
